    1) After World War II, China and North Vietnam became communists.
    2) The Vietnam was divided into 2 independant countries in 1954.
    3) USA were scared because they firmly believed in DOMINO THEORY. They thought if Vietnam fell, Laos, Cambodia, and the other countries would fall Under Communism in a domino effect as well.
    4) To support South Vietnam, USA gave much money to South Vietnam to buy some military equipment and they gave $136 million in economic aid. Moreover, they sent military advisors to train South Vietnamese forces.
    5) USA started sending troops to Vietnam in 1955.
