Frederic Remington
Frederic Remington (October 4, 1861 - December 26, 1909) was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer. He was interested in the Old American West. He painted Native Americans, cowboys, soldiers, horses, and other aspects of life in the American West.
He was born in the state of New York. When he was twenty years old, he travelled to North and South Dakota, Montana (3 of the 5 states which formed the Great Plains with Wyoming and Nebraska...). He wanted to paint "The frontier" because it disappeared.
