"On top of the World" is a song by an American group called Imagine Dragons. It came out in spring 2013. 

"I am on top of the world"  means "I am very happy. This is the message of the song : be happy now, don't wait and don't waste your life!

In the clip, the 4 musicians of Imagine Dragons  illustrate the expression "I am on top of the world" literally : they are really on top of the world!

" Jack is an early bird."

Edward Hopper was an American artist. He was born at the end of the XIX century and he died in 1967. He loved painting scenes of the American life. In his paintings, the characters don't talk, they don't smile. They are always sad because Hopper was nostalgic of the past. His paintings are very realistic with a lot of details to show real life.

 The title of this painting is "Nighthawks" ( = les oiseaux de nuits). Hoper made it in 1942

Andy Warhol est probablement l'artiste Américain le plus connu à travers le monde. Il est mort en 1987.

Au début de sa carrière il crée des publicités pour gagner sa vie. Puis il devient "Pop artist". Il peint les stars de son époque (vous connaissez tous ses portraits de Marylin Monroe). Il peint aussi des produits de consommation de la vie de tous les jours (boîte de consere, bouteille de coca cola, etc..). Souvent Warhol reproduit la même chose plusieurs fois sur un même tableau pour montrer au public, qu'il n'y a aucun message caché derrières ses oeuvres. Juste des objets ou des stars connus de tous et élevés au rang d'oeuvres d'art grâce à lui!

"Stay with me" is a song by a British singer called Sam Smith. He was born in 1992The song came out in May 2014 and it was n°1 in the United Kingdom and n°2 in the USA.

It is a love-ballad. The singer wants his girlfriend to stay with him. He doesn't want the girl to leave him. Romantic, isn't it?

Son art consiste à faire des graffitis sur les murs de grandes villes (Londres, Bristol, New York, etc...). Ses oeuvres sont éphémères : elle disparaissent lorsque les murs sont nettoyés ou vandalisés.
